We open up as many opportunities as possible for lecturers and researchers who want their articles to be published in the Barakuda 45 Journal Volume 8 No. 1 (2026): April Edition and Volume 8 No. 2 (2026): November issue. We currently use the Open Journal System (OJS) system; please contact our support contact for those who have difficulty submitting online through the OJS system.

Barakuda 45: Journal of Marine & Fisheries Sciences has been officially accredited as a Scientific Journal by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, based on Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024. This accreditation confirms the journal's ranking upgrade from SINTA 4 to SINTA 3, effective from Volume 5, Issue 1 (2023) through Volume 9, Issue 2 (2027).

  • Independence Day Publication Support Program 2026

    In celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Barakuda 45: Jurnal Ilmu Perikanan dan Kelautan is pleased to introduce the Independence Day Publication Support Program 2026.

    A special Article Processing Charge (APC) is available for 17 selected manuscripts submitted during the promotional period, 8 July–31 August 2026, or until the quota is reached, whichever comes first. This extended period reflects the Journal's continued commitment to supporting authors during the national independence celebration. This program applies only to manuscripts that successfully complete the journal's editorial and double-blind peer-review process and receive a final decision of Accepted. Submission during the promotional period does not guarantee acceptance for publication.

  • Barakuda 45 Journal Achieves SINTA 3 Ranking

    We are pleased to announce that the Barakuda 45 Journal has successfully advanced its accreditation ranking from SINTA 4 to SINTA 3. This significant milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering high-quality academic research and publications.

    The new ranking is effective for publications starting from Volume 5, Issue 1 (2023) to Volume 9, Issue 2 (2027).

  • Change of Editor-in-Chief Barracuda 45

    According to the decision of the internal meeting held by the Barakuda 45 management team since the beginning of 2022, we are announcing that Mr. Andi Perdana G will fill the position of Editor-in-Chief in the future to replace Mrs. Dewi Nurhayati, who previously carried out this task well. Congratulations on your assignment Mr. Andi Perdana G. Hopefully, Barracuda 45 can be even better by realizing an increase in national reputation (a higher SINTA level) so that it can be registered in international databases and indexations.
