Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that fall within the Focus and Scope of Journal Mestro. Manuscripts that do not follow these guidelines and the Article Template will be returned to the authors before review.
General Requirements
- The manuscript must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration by another journal.
- Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. Titles, abstracts, and keywords are provided in English (and in Indonesian for Indonesian-language articles).
- Files must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), OpenOffice, or RTF format, prepared with the Article Template.
- Submissions are made online through this journal's OJS; register or log in to submit. There are no fees (see Article Processing Charge).
Manuscript Structure
- Title — concise and informative, without abbreviations.
- Authors and affiliations — full names without academic titles, department, institution, city, country, and the email address of the corresponding author. Author information is removed from the review file for double-blind review.
- Abstract — a single paragraph stating the purpose, method, main results, and conclusion, within the length given in the template.
- Keywords — several words or phrases that describe the article, as specified in the template.
- Introduction — background, state of the art, research gap, and objectives.
- Research Method — materials, equipment, experimental setup, simulation or computational procedures, and data analysis, in enough detail to allow replication.
- Results and Discussion — findings supported by figures and tables, interpreted and compared with previous studies.
- Conclusion — answers to the research objectives and suggestions for further work, written as a paragraph.
- Acknowledgment (optional) — funding sources and contributors, and disclosure of AI use where applicable (see Artificial Intelligence Policy).
- References — see below.
Figures, Tables, and Equations
- Figures and tables are placed within the text near their first mention, numbered consecutively, and cited in the text.
- Figures must be clear and legible (minimum 300 dpi); axis labels and units must be readable.
- Equations are typed with an equation editor and numbered consecutively. SI units are used throughout.
References
- References should be predominantly recent primary sources (journal articles and conference proceedings).
- Citations and the reference list follow the style shown in the Article Template.
- Use of a reference manager such as Mendeley is strongly recommended. Include DOIs or URLs where available.
