Journal History

Journal Mestro was established by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (UNTAG) Cirebon to provide a publication venue for research in mechanical and electrical engineering, both from the faculty's own academic community and from researchers across Indonesia and abroad.

Milestones

2019 First issue published: Vol. 1 No. 1 (June 2019). The journal registered its electronic ISSN 2657-1072 with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the ISSN International Centre.
Ongoing Articles registered with Crossref and assigned Digital Object Identifiers under the prefix 10.47685.
2022 Accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia at SINTA 5 for the period 2022–2026.
2023–2024 Additional issues published alongside the regular June and December editions (Vol. 4 No. 3 and Vol. 6 No. 3).
2026 Vol. 8 No. 1 published in June 2026; re-accreditation in progress.

Publication Frequency

Since its first volume, the journal has published two regular issues per year, in June and December. Each volume corresponds to one calendar year.

Scope Development

The journal initially focused on mechanical and electrical engineering. Its scope has since broadened to include civil, computer, and manufacturing engineering studies that are relevant to its core disciplines, as described in the Focus and Scope.
